Here are the ballads I composed for my medieval action-romances, SHADOWS OF VALOR and THE PERILS OF WRATH. Each song from SHADOWS OF VALOR has a long version and a condensed version. The songs "Mays' Good Day," "One Brave Knight," and "Love Endures" are from SHADOWS OF VALOR. "A mighty Change" is from THE PERILS OF WRATH. Click on images to enlarge. I hope you enjoy them!

ONE BRAVE KNIGHT
LOVE ENDURES
(from Shadows of Valor)
A MIGHTY CHANGE
(from Perils of Wrath)
Is this music on YouTube? I'd love to hear it. :D
ReplyDeleteThat's something I'm currently planning with my brother-in-law (the guy with all the equipment, but very little time), but I have to put it second to the book launch and signing. After those I can work on recording the songs with instruments and then put them on Youtube :) Yeah, I want to hear them played with cool instruments too :)
DeleteMy dad just bought this music for me at the LUW conference this weekend. I have been playing it these last few days and I really enjoy it. Thank you. (As a piano teacher I had a great time explaining it to my students.)
ReplyDeleteEmily, Bruce said you played, but he didn't say you taught, too. That's great! I'm glad you're enjoying the music. I had so much fun composing the songs, even more fun than writing SHADOWS OF VALOR *laugh*. I play them on my digital piano so I can add "strings" in with the "piano" and it sounds really cool! It was good to see you at the conference, even if I didn't get a chance to say "hello." I've always thought that if I ever taught a class at conference, I might do it on all the "extras" authors can add into their stories, emphasizing music, poems, and recipes (though I'm not sure if anyone would attend, heehee). All the best, Emily, in both your writing and music! All the best to your students, too.
